Fire crews spread thin as another fire ignites in Southern Utah

CEDAR CITY – Fire crews were already exhausted Friday when another they got hit with more flames to fight near Black Mountain in the Urie Creek area. The Little Thunder Fire destroyed one cabin before firefighters were able to get it under control, Iron County Sheriff Lt. Del Schlosser said. Black Mountain Fire grows to 5,000 acres

IRON COUNTY – A spark from a vehicle rollover Thursday afternoon is being blamed for causing a fire now estimated to have burned 5,000 acres, authorities said. A white 1998 Ford Explorer traveling north on state Route 130 at Milepost 33 overcorrected after drifting off the right shoulder into the dirt causing the vehicle to roll several times, authorities said.
