Shakespeare Garden welcomes Cleopatra

CEDAR CITY – Cleopatra took her rightful place among a collection of many other Shakespearean characters in the Pedersen Shakespeare Character Garden including Hamlet, Julie, Henry V, Falstaff and King Lear. The statue, created by the renowned sculptor, Dennis Smith of Alpine Studio, was unveiled Monday as the newest addition to the garden. Suspects booked on felony assault charges

CEDAR CITY – Two suspects were booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility Sunday evening after allegedly beating a man with a hammer. Kade Robert Shearer, 21, and Sasha Michelle Davis, 20, were booked on a third-degree felony for aggravated assault and two second-degree felonies for aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. There were also additional misdemeanor charges for threats against life and tampering with evidence.
