CEDAR CITY – A 5th District judge admonished a Cedar City woman from the stand Tuesday for her involvement in a kidnapping and assault incident, calling the facts of the case “frightening.” Judge Keith Barnes ordered Deanna Hanson to serve one to 15 years for aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony. Suspects booked on felony assault charges

CEDAR CITY – Two suspects were booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility Sunday evening after allegedly beating a man with a hammer. Kade Robert Shearer, 21, and Sasha Michelle Davis, 20, were booked on a third-degree felony for aggravated assault and two second-degree felonies for aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. There were also additional misdemeanor charges for threats against life and tampering with evidence.
